Hi, I'm Jamie McCoy!
I'm a licensed integrative psychotherapist and trauma coach for over 10 years. My own journey with chronic illness(autoimmunity, Lyme disease, toxic mold exposure) led me to uncover the incredible importance of a regulated nervous system.
I aim to build a bridge between the mind, body and spirit in order to develop the resilience that's required to deal with stress without crashing into survival mode each time a trigger hits. I'm truly passionate about my work and feel honored each time someone invites me along for their healing journey.
What makes me different?
I've been through the medical merry-go-round enough times to realize that there's nothing more powerful than the innate healing ability we all possess. But, I had to learn how to use it without pushing myself into further overwhelm.
My traditional training as a psychotherapist was lacking in this profound connection between the mind & body, so I continued my studies in somatic therapies and the biology of trauma in order to gently address the root cause of nervous system dysregulation.
We have a tendency to outsource our power to others as we set out on a healing journey, and I aim to guide people back to rebuilding safety & connection within themselves so they no longer have to do that and truly learn to trust the wisdom of their unique physiology.
